1. Summary (Offline-First & Private)

Weight Tracker is designed as a privacy-first, offline application. All of your fitness metrics, weight logs, physical body measurements, notes, progress photos, and profile preferences remain stored exclusively on your personal mobile device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal or biometric information with any external servers, developer servers, or third parties.

2. Information We Collect and Process Locally

The app processes the following data locally on your device to provide health and fitness tracking features:

• Biometric & Physical Profile Data: Height, age, gender, activity level, target weight, daily weight entries, body fat percentage, and waist measurements (used strictly for BMI, BMR, TDEE, and progress graph computations).
• Notes & Progress Photos: Custom text notes or body transformation photos that you optionally attach to your daily entries. These images remain saved in your device's local app storage.
• App Preferences & Settings: Theme preferences (Dark/Light mode), weight units (kg, lb, st), and notification reminder schedule times.

3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

Weight Tracker requests minimal Android permissions only to enable specific core features:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS & SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used solely to schedule local daily reminders and weekly summary progress alerts on your device.
• Storage / Media Access: Used only when you choose to attach progress photos to a weight entry or when you manually export/import your weight history CSV file.

We do NOT access your contacts, location, microphone, or any unrelated device data.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do NOT sell, trade, rent, or share any personal or non-personal data with third parties.

• No Third-Party Ads: This app contains no advertisements (AdMob or other ad networks).
• No Analytics / Tracking SDKs: We do not use third-party behavioral tracking, crash analytics, or telemetric data harvesting tools.
• No External Cloud Storage: Your data is not synced to any cloud unless you manually backup/export your CSV file to a location of your choice.

5. Data Security and Backup

Because all data is stored locally in an encrypted Room database on your device, your data is as secure as your mobile device itself.

• You have complete control to Export to CSV or Import from CSV at any time.
• Uninstalling the application or clearing app storage will permanently delete your local weight records unless you have exported a CSV backup.

6. Children's Privacy

Our application does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. It is safe for general audiences of all ages.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be updated on this page with a revised "Effective Date".
